Corvallis People For Parks is a grass roots organization dedicated to preserving parks and natural areas in Corvallis, Oregon.

The mission of People for Parks is to allow the people - the owners of parks and natural areas - to decide the future of these resources. We feel that any proposal to sell or trade parks and natural areas or to convert these lands to non-park or non-natural area uses should be decided by a vote of the electorate.

We created measure 2-108 to modify the Corvallis City Charter to allow the people to decide. The measure does not prevent changes from one type of park use to another. It allows temporary uses, such as utility maintenance, that last for less than two years and do not leave behind permanent changes to the use of the park or natural area.
